Iran’s Decision Not to Attend Negotiations Remains Unchanged
WANA (Apr 20) – According to reports, despite Trump’s announcement that Vance, along with other members of the American negotiating team are on their way to Pakistan, no change has been made to Iran’s decision not to attend the negotiations up to the time of this report’s publication, and Iran’s participation is subject to the fulfillment of certain preconditions.
Yesterday, Trump made similar remarks, stating that the American negotiating team was on the way to Islamabad!
According to reports, the issue of the naval blockade is a very fundamental obstacle in the negotiations. This matter was communicated to the Pakistani mediator, who stated today that he has shared the issue with Trump.
However, in addition to the issue of the naval blockade, there are other excessive demands from the American side in the exchanged messages that do not show a clear outlook for the upcoming negotiations.
Therefore, the Iranian delegation believes that as long as America does not look at the issue realistically and approaches the negotiating table with the same miscalculations that led to its heavy defeat on the military field, negotiations are merely a waste of time, and Iran will not accompany America in this process.
Accordingly, until some fundamental obstacles are removed and a clear outlook for reaching an agreement acceptable to Iran is formed, Iran has no intention of participating in the American theater.
Iran is also considering the scenario that the media shows regarding negotiations might be a deception, and it is prepared for military confrontation.
