WANA (Aug 21) – The temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran, Hojjatoleslam Seyed Mohammad Hassan Abou-Torabi Fard, stated today during his sermon that the missile, drone, and air defense capabilities of the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) successfully neutralized the enemy’s military superiority, shifting and stabilizing the regional balance of power in favor of Iran and the Axis of Resistance.

 

Analyzing the international and regional dimensions of the Armed Forces’ performance in the recent conflict, Abou-Torabi Fard noted that Iranian military firepower effectively counteracted the advanced weaponry of two global nuclear powers.

 

He emphasized that the military aggression and economic sanctions led by the United States—which aimed to humiliate, force submission, and destroy the country’s critical infrastructure—ultimately served as a launchpad for enhancing Iran’s national authority.

 

He added that these defense capabilities have brought the Israeli regime closer to political collapse while strengthening solidarity among Muslim nations across Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, Pakistan, and Turkey to counter global arrogance.

 

Addressing domestic developments, the Friday prayer leader highlighted the concept of national unity from both theological and civic perspectives.

 

Grounding his remarks in Quranic principles on social cohesion and the prophetic mission, he stressed that overcoming societal divisions requires collective rational conduct, mutual commitment to truth, and the setting aside of personal friction.

 

He referenced the guidelines of the Supreme Leader and the legacy of the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic, framing unity between the public, government officials, and the Armed Forces as the primary driver of national resilience.

 

Abou-Torabi Fard praised the public’s steadfastness alongside defense forces in establishing popular security. He commended the government and the three branches of state power for their coordinated efforts to manage economic bottlenecks, mitigate post-war challenges, and maintain stability.

 

Concluding his address on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day, the cleric detailed the achievements of the domestic healthcare sector. He reported that Iran currently ranks first among 57 Islamic nations in medical science production and stands among the top nations globally, supported by a workforce of approximately 390,000 medical professionals.

 

He underlined Iran’s complete self-sufficiency in medical education and specialized treatment, noting that patient referrals abroad are no longer necessary.

 

He further commended healthcare workers for managing emergency operations during the recent crisis, which included treating 66,000 wounded personnel, supporting displaced populations, and maintaining uninterrupted pharmaceutical supply chains, while calling for the full implementation of the Family Physician program to ensure equitable healthcare distribution.
