WANA (Jun 13) – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs met with the ambassadors of Russia and China on Saturday to discuss the latest developments regarding the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States.

 

Taking to the social media platform X on Saturday, June 13, Kazem Gharibabadi announced the joint meeting held in Tehran, noting that discussions focused on the latest developments regarding the draft of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

 

Gharibabadi emphasized that the strategic partnership between Iran, China, and Russia, along with continuous coordination and engagement among the three countries, will remain strong.

 

The memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, aimed at ending the war, is expected to be signed shortly upon Iran’s final approval.

 

This follows a statement by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on X, who declared that the parties are closer than ever to a peace accord. Sharif added that with finalization anticipated within the next 24 hours, Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the peace agreement, to be followed by technical negotiations next week.
