Iran’s Education Ministry Reports Student and Teacher Casualties in War
WANA (Apr 05) – The head of the Information and Public Relations Center of the Ministry of Education stated the latest figures regarding student and teacher casualties in Israeli-American attacks.
Hussein Sadeghi said that 245 students have been killed over the past 37 days. He said among them were 136 boys, 102 girls, five male preschool children, and two female preschool children.
He added that 58 education staff members were also killed, including 11 male teachers, 38 female teachers, as well as six retired male staff and three retired female staff.
Sadeghi further reported that 178 students have been injured since the beginning of the current war, known as the “Ramadan war,” along with 24 injured education staff members.
He noted that 764 educational facilities have been damaged, including 51 schools destroyed, while 713 schools were damaged.
Tehran and Kermanshah provinces reportedly recorded the highest damage levels. Additional damage included 51 administrative buildings, 15 cultural centers, 32 sports halls, and 7 student camps.
