Iran’s FM Attends Non-Aligned Movement Meeting in Uganda
WANA (Oct 15) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi arrived in Kampala on Wednesday morning to attend the 19th Mid-Term Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
The two-day meeting, held on Wednesday and Thursday under the chairmanship of Uganda’s foreign minister, brings together top diplomats and high-level delegations from NAM member states to discuss key international developments and cooperation among non-aligned countries.
During the conference, Minister Araghchi will take part in the general discussions and outline the Islamic Republic of Iran’s positions on global and regional issues.
He is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with several foreign ministers attending the event to exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
According to reports, Minister Araghchi is currently attending the session, which began earlier.
