Iran’s FM Holds Calls with Pakistani and Egyptian Ministers
WANA (Jun 07) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held separate phone conversations with his Pakistani and Egyptian counterparts on Saturday, during which they exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings and discussed key regional developments.
In a call with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, the two officials also exchanged Eid greetings and conferred on the situation in Gaza and broader regional concerns.
In a separate phone call, the Iranian Foreign Minister spoke with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and both sides congratulated each other on the occasion of Eid and discussed recent developments, including Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Syria.
They emphasized the need for unity among Muslim nations and the pursuit of peace and prosperity across the Islamic world.
Eid al-Adha is the second of the two main festivals in Islam, alongside Eid al-Fitr. It falls on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijja, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar. Celebrations and observances are generally carried forward to the three following days, known as the Tashreeq days.
