WANA (Jun 04) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi met with Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem on Wednesday to discuss the current situation in the region.

 

The meeting, which took place in the presence of Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, focused on bilateral relations and regional issues.

 

Araghchi emphasized Iran’s commitment to strengthening ties with Lebanon and expressed Tehran’s readiness to support Lebanon based on mutual respect and enhanced cooperation.

 

Sheikh Naim Qassem highlighted Iran’s positive role in the region and its support for resistance movements and the Palestinian people. He also expressed gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, and the Iranian government and people for their ongoing support of Lebanon and its resistance.

 

The Hezbollah leader further underlined the group’s firm belief and tireless efforts to revive Lebanon, maintain its stability and sovereignty, and expel occupiers from the country.

 

Previously, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who has traveled to Beirut for consultations, met with senior Lebanese officials, including General Joseph Aoun, the President of Lebanon, and Lebanon’s Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, the parliament speaker, and the foreign minister.
