Iran’s Foreign Minister Meets Qatari Emir in Doha
WANA (Sep 04) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi met today (Thursday, August 4) with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha to discuss bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments, particularly the continuation of what he described as the genocide and crimes committed by the Israeli regime in the occupied Palestinian territories.
This marks Araghchi’s first visit to Doha since the recent Israeli aggression against Iran.
During the talks, the two sides emphasized strengthening Iran-Qatar relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues.
Araghchi underscored the need for serious action by regional countries and the international community to halt the ongoing genocide, prosecute perpetrators, and counter what he called the Israeli regime’s warmongering and expansionist policies.
Araghchi was accompanied on the trip by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi.
The Amiri Diwan of Qatar announced that Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, received an oral message on Thursday from Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
