Iran’s Foreign Minister to Visit France This Week
WANA (Nov 25) – Iran’s Foreign Minister is scheduled to travel to France this week at the invitation of his French counterpart. Esmaeil Baqaei, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the trip, noting that it will take place following the minister’s participation in the annual session of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the Netherlands.
According to Baqaei, the visit will focus on bilateral issues, including the case of Iranian national Mahdieh Esfandiari, as well as regional and international developments.
He emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran maintains a principled approach to engagement with other countries based on mutual respect, using every opportunity to clearly articulate its positions and demands—such as condemning the ongoing crimes of the Israeli regime in Palestine and Lebanon, addressing matters related to the nuclear issue, and discussing other key international topics.
Baqaei added that the upcoming talks in Paris will provide a platform to further explain Iran’s stances and pursue the legitimate demands of the Iranian people.
