Iran’s Foreign Minister, UN Chief Discuss Regional Developments
WANA (Oct 20) – In light of recent regional developments, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, during which the two sides exchanged views on the latest situations in Gaza and Yemen.
During the call, Araghchi underscored the international community’s responsibility to prevent the continuation of ceasefire violations by the Zionist regime and called for the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
Referring to the situation in Yemen, the Iranian foreign minister condemned the Zionist regime’s aggressions against the country and reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to continue cooperation with the United Nations to help restore stability in Yemen and safeguard regional security.
For his part, the UN Secretary-General commended Iran’s constructive efforts and emphasized the need for continued diplomatic consultations aimed at strengthening peace and stability in Yemen and the broader region.
