WANA (Oct 18) – Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei strongly condemned Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire and its targeting of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

According to Baqaei, in the latest incident, an Israeli strike hit a vehicle carrying a displaced Palestinian family returning to their home, killing 11 people, including seven children and two women.

He also criticized Israel’s continued refusal to fulfill its commitments to reopen the Rafah crossing, calling it a sign of the regime’s ongoing inhumane policies and the continuation of the blockade on Gaza. Baqaei urged the international community to take effective action to stop the attacks, ensure the withdrawal of occupying forces from Gaza, secure access to basic necessities for its residents, and prosecute those responsible for war crimes.

The spokesperson further held the guarantor states of the ceasefire directly accountable for these violations, warning that continued silence and inaction would only fuel further violence and instability in the region.
