Iran’s Parliament Speaker to Visit Pakistan Tomorrow
WANA (Nov 04) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf is set to travel to Islamabad tomorrow at the invitation of Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly.
During his visit, Ghalibaf will meet with the Speaker and members of both Pakistan’s National Assembly and Senate for discussions on bilateral relations.
The itinerary also includes meetings with senior Pakistani political leaders, including the Prime Minister, as well as sessions with cultural, religious, and business figures. In addition, the Speaker will visit Lahore and Karachi, Pakistan’s major cultural and economic centers.
Accompanying Ghalibaf on the trip are several Iranian parliamentarians, including members of the Iran-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group: Fadakhosin Maleki, Mohammad Noor Dahani, Rahmdel Bamri, Mehrdad Goodarzi, and Fazlollah Ranjbar.
Pakistan, Iran’s most populous neighboring country, currently trades over $3 billion worth of goods with Iran. Both sides aim to raise this figure to $10 billion through targeted planning and by removing existing trade barriers.
