WANA (Jun 02) – The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam made a vibrant and active appearance at the 2025 Hanoi Tourism Festival, held by the Hanoi Municipality at the historic Thăng Long Imperial Citadel. The event offered a vivid glimpse into Iran’s rich culture, traditional arts, and renowned hospitality.

Iran’s dedicated pavilion drew warm and notable attention from both Vietnamese and international visitors. Designed to showcase Iran’s cultural heritage and tourism potential, the pavilion featured a visually captivating array of authentic Iranian handicrafts—including khatamkari (marquetry), miniatures, ghalamkari from Isfahan, and traditional pottery crafted by Iranian artisans. These artistic displays earned widespread admiration from attendees.

Adding to the pavilion’s charm were Persian carpets, symbols of intricate craftsmanship and aesthetic elegance, which lent the space a distinctive grandeur and captivated lovers of traditional art.

In the culinary section, visitors had the chance to experience the unique tastes and aromas of traditional Iranian cuisine and beverages. Popular offerings included kabab koobideh, tahchin, and a variety of traditional drinks and herbal infusions such as saffron and rosewater, which received enthusiastic praise and provided guests with an authentic taste of Iran.

The presence of four Vietnamese companies active in the tourism and trade sectors further enriched Iran’s pavilion. “Iranian House” presented a range of imported Iranian goods, including handicrafts, dried fruits, and saffron. Meanwhile, companies such as Lentour, Happy Viagour, and Zentour distributed tour catalogs promoting Iran as a travel destination, greatly contributing to the pavilion’s mission of showcasing the country’s tourism potential.

This cultural engagement provided a valuable opportunity to promote Iran’s artistic, cultural, and tourism assets and to strengthen cultural exchange between the peoples of Iran and Vietnam.
