WANA (Jul 14) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly dismissed recent hostile remarks and territorial threats made by the U.S. President, asserting that Iran remains fully prepared to defend every inch of its territory while calling for domestic unity as the nation’s primary source of strength.

Reacting to offensive language directed at the Iranian nation and recent online claims suggesting the potential military seizure of an Iranian island, President Pezeshkian emphasized that while such hostile rhetoric is nothing new, the reality on the ground tells a very different story.

“Their rhetoric continues, and they keep making these claims,” Pezeshkian stated during the interview. “But the real question is: have they actually succeeded in achieving their goals on the battlefield? Those who set out to tear our Iran to pieces—where have they ended up now, and what have they accomplished?”

He underscored Iran’s unwavering commitment to its sovereignty, declaring that the country will vigorously defend its borders against any external threats. “In practice, what we firmly believe and are committed to is defending every single inch of our land. The disrespectful and vulgar words they use are a reflection of themselves, not us,” he added.

When asked how the Iranian nation should navigate the path forward in the face of these continuous external pressures, President Pezeshkian stressed that internal cohesion is Iran’s ultimate shield, warning that any domestic friction only plays into the hands of foreign adversaries.

“The absolute first step for us is to preserve our internal unity and solidarity,” Pezeshkian concluded. “Any word or behavior that causes division or a split within our society will only serve to diminish our collective power.”
