Iran’s Plan to End War Sent to Pakistan; U.S. to Decide
WANA (May 02) – Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy for Legal and International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran has presented a plan aimed at permanently ending the imposed war to Pakistan. He stated that it is now up to the United States to decide between the path of diplomacy or the continuation of confrontation.
On Saturday, May 2, Gharibabadi met with a group of foreign ambassadors residing in Tehran and briefed them on Iran’s recent initiative to end the war, as well as what he described as “aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime.”
During the meeting, he emphasized Iran’s full readiness to respond to any form of aggression, while also underscoring Tehran’s commitment to diplomacy based on national interests as a means to resolve disputes, noting that Iran has played its role along this path.
The Deputy Foreign Minister further stated: “The Islamic Republic of Iran’s plan, aimed at a permanent end to the war, has been presented to Pakistan as a mediator, and now the ball is in the United States’ court to choose between diplomacy or continuing a confrontational approach.”
Gharibabadi added that Iran is prepared for both scenarios—diplomacy or confrontation—while maintaining its distrust toward the United States and its doubts about Washington’s sincerity in pursuing diplomacy.
According to the report, prior to this meeting, the ambassadors of China and Russia had also held a trilateral discussion with Iran’s Deputy for Legal and International Affairs regarding recent developments.
