WANA (Jan 03) – Iran’s Prosecutor General Mohammad Movahedi said public security and social calm are a “red line” for the judiciary, according to state media.

 

Movahedi said addressing people’s economic problems remained an ongoing priority and that relevant officials were obliged to respond seriously to citizens’ lawful demands.

 

Referring to former U.S. President Donald Trump, he said unilateral claims about Iran’s internal situation and attempts to justify threats of action had no legal basis under international law.

 

Movahedi said any cooperation, coordination, or participation in what he described as destabilising projects by Iran’s adversaries would be considered an act against national security and public order. He added that the judiciary clearly distinguished between citizens pursuing legitimate demands and elements linked to hostile agendas.

 

He said individuals who, in his words, exploited economic grievances to undermine public psychological or physical security, or who acted in line with the objectives of Iran’s enemies, would face firm legal action under existing laws.

 

Movahedi said prosecutors across the country had been instructed to work with judicial authorities to prevent foreign adversaries and their alleged domestic affiliates from undermining the country’s security and stability.
