WANA (Apr 29) – A new national survey conducted by the Mellat Opinion Poll Institute reveals that a significant majority of Iranians view the country as the victor in the “Third Imposed War”, with public confidence in the nation’s military reaching notable highs.

The second wave of this national study indicates that most respondents evaluate Iran’s position as successful up to this stage of the conflict. According to Babak Negahdari, Head of the Parliament Research Center, the survey was conducted in April 2026 via telephone interviews with individuals aged 18 and older across the country.

Key Findings on Conflict Status

The data reflects a decisive lean in public perception regarding the outcome of the hostilities:

  • 67.5% of respondents believe Iran is the winning side.
  • 1.6% believe the United States and Israel are victorious.
  • 26.2% maintain that neither side has emerged as a winner thus far.

High Levels of Military Confidence

A critical takeaway from the study is the level of domestic support for the defense sector. The survey shows that 89.9% of participants describe their trust in the Armed Forces as “high” or “very high.” Analysts suggest this figure represents a significant indicator of social capital during a period of national mobilization.

Context of the Conflict

The term “Third Imposed War” has been used to describe the current escalation that began on February 28, 2026, following the commencement of strikes by the United States and Israel against Iranian targets.
