WANA (Oct 16) – This afternoon, Tuesday, October 16, 2025, Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Moscow.

 

In the meeting, Dr. Larijani conveyed a message from the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran to President Putin. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional developments, and several international issues.

 

Larijani’s visit to Russia comes at a time when regional developments — including the situation in the Caucasus, the Gaza crisis, and the course of Iran’s nuclear negotiations — are high on the diplomatic agenda of both Tehran and Moscow.
