Iran’s Senior Foreign Advisor Condemns Israeli Attack on Qatar
WANA (Sep 12) – Ali Akbar Velayati, senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader on international affairs, strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar, calling on the world to end its silence toward Israeli aggression.
In a tweet, Velayati wrote: “Violations of international law and encroachments on the sovereignty of countries have become routine for the Zionists, and the world must break its silence.”
He added, “Once again, everyone has seen that the savage Zionist regime recognizes no limits in committing crimes. The attack on Qatari soil and on Palestinian brothers attending the meeting is condemned.”
On Tuesday, September 18, 2025, Israeli forces attacked residential areas housing members of Hamas’ office in Doha, Qatar. In a statement, Israel claimed responsibility for the airstrike, targeting Hamas leaders who had gathered in Doha for a meeting.
The Israeli airstrike on the residences and meeting site of Hamas’ political office in Qatar’s capital sparked widespread condemnation and reactions at both regional and international levels.
