WANA (Aug 07) – The appointment of Ali Larijani as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council emphasizes two key concepts: “Monitoring and prioritizing emerging and technological threats” and “redefining security concepts with a people-based approach.”

The emphasis on these two strategic concepts sends the message to Iran’s enemies that Tehran has mastered the algorithm of emerging Western threats and has understood how to deal with them, so it will disrupt their conventional calculations with meaningful changes in its security doctrine.

In this new doctrine, contrary to what the enemies want, Iranian citizens are not only the subject of security but also its actors and producers, and will naturally become more resistant to internal and external threats, which means that the components of cognitive warfare will become ineffective.

Against new threats, there is no more effective weapon than public trust, transparency of governance, and strengthening social resilience. With a clear understanding of this issue, the Islamic Republic of Iran is redesigning the way it governs and empowers society against hybrid warfare.

Undoubtedly, this intelligent strategy for sustainable and just security, like other components emanating from the discourse of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, such as the active resistance that has swept the world today, will soon become widespread not only in the West Asian region but also in the entire world.
