WANA (Apr 03) – Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for Iran’s Armed Forces, outlined the latest field developments, stating that significant blows have been dealt to U.S. interests in the region. He noted that one of the companies targeted in recent operations was valued at roughly twice that of Mobarakeh Steel Company of Isfahan, with its capital and products serving American interests.

He emphasized that the facility played a key role in supplying raw materials for U.S. military industries and was struck in such a way that rebuilding it will not be possible for many years.

Strategic Blow to U.S. Military Supply Infrastructure

Shekarchi stressed the precision of the operations, saying the targets were critical support centers influencing the enemy’s military capabilities, and that the actual extent of the damage is far greater than what has been publicly disclosed.

U.S. Forces Taking Shelter in Civilian Locations

Referring to the current condition of American forces in the region, he stated that U.S. troops have been seeking refuge in hotels and ports to avoid attacks, adding that in the event of a ground war, there will be no safe haven for them.

Warning on Potential Ground Conflict

The senior military spokesperson underlined that Iran is fully prepared to confront any ground operation, warning that any such move would result in heavy losses for invading forces.

Strait of Hormuz Beyond U.S. and Allied Reach

He also highlighted the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that it will remain under Iran’s control in the long term and that the United States and its allies will not gain access to it.

Commitment to Expelling U.S. Forces from the Region

Shekarchi reiterated that Iran’s overarching strategy is the complete removal of U.S. forces from West Asia. He added that signs of Washington seeking an “honorable exit” from the conflict are becoming evident, but even if the U.S. declares an end to hostilities, Iran will continue pursuing its demands.

He stressed that pressure on the United States will persist until damages are compensated and the aggressor is held accountable.

Collapse of U.S. Prestige: A Key Outcome

According to Shekarchi, one of the most significant outcomes of the conflict has been the collapse of America’s global image of power. He said a country that long projected dominance to pressure other nations has now exposed its vulnerabilities to the world.

He also criticized statements by U.S. officials, particularly Donald Trump, noting that Washington entered the conflict based on flawed calculations and a misunderstanding of Iran’s capabilities—factors that ultimately led to the failure of its strategy.

Iran to Continue Until Strategic Goals Are Achieved

In conclusion, Shekarchi affirmed that Iran, relying on domestic capabilities, public support, and the readiness of its armed forces, will stay the course and will not retreat until its strategic objectives in the region are fully realized.
