WANA (Aug 10) – By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, six senior military officials have been appointed to major positions within the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and the Basij Resistance Force.

 

According to the issued decrees, the following appointments have been officially announced:

 

General Staff of the Armed Forces: Major General Pilot Ali Abdollahi has been named Chief of the General Staff, with Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari appointed as Deputy Chief.

 

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC): Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi has been promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC. Major General Mostafa Izadi will serve as Deputy Commander-in-Chief.

 

IRGC Navy & Basij Organization: Rear Admiral Ali Ozmayei takes command of the IRGC Navy, while Hojjatoleslam wal-Moslemin Hossein Taeb has been appointed head of the Basij Resistance Force.
