Iran’s Supreme Leader: Islamic World Must Identify Common Enemies and Reject Imperial Subversion
WANA (Aug 30) – Iran’s Supreme Leader, while emphasizing that rulers of Islamic nations—particularly across West Asia and the Persian Gulf—must accurately identify their true adversary and confront its schemes, warned that the United States and the “Zionist regime” are sworn enemies not only of the Islamic Republic and the Resistance Front, but of the entire Muslim Ummah.
In a comprehensive message marking the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the Islamic Unity Week, the leader noted that even allied rulers remain vulnerable to public disrespect and insulting rhetoric from imperial powers.
He identified unity of purpose, synergy, and goodwill as the sole remedy for the Muslim world’s crises, stressing that the vulnerability of the Palestinian nation and foreign encroachment upon regional resources stem directly from the absence of a unified Islamic front.
Averting Discord and Countering Multi-Pronged Hegemonic Subversion
Identifying the amplification of divisions as the primary reliance of hostile powers, he noted that while enemy forces place significant hope in sectarian lines, they also exploit racial, cultural, social, economic, political, and geographical distinctions to fracture Iran and other Islamic societies and enforce dominance.
Citing the Quranic imperative against internal conflict—lest strength and influence erode—he stated that any action fostering division directly serves imperial objectives. In an era where global hegemonies have shed deceptive facades to reveal their overt hostility, such actions can no longer be attributed to ignorance or oversight.
Islamic Unity as a Quranic Strategy and Its Revolutionary Roots
The message defined Islamic unity not as a temporary tactical measure, but as a fundamental Quranic strategy grounded in the principle of being steadfast against disbelievers and compassionate among believers, centering on shared values while harmonizing differences through peaceful discourse.
The Three Pillars of Islamic Doctrine and the Vision for a New Civilization
The Leader outlined the framework for Muslim inter-relations and external engagement through three core pillars: avoiding internal conflict, maintaining mutual defense against disbelief, and fostering comprehensive synergy across material and spiritual domains, including wealth, security, science, and development.
This integrated framework positions unity as the essential foundation for achieving a New Islamic Civilization. Reaffirming the call for domestic cohesion within Iran, the message concluded with prayers for the elevation and prosperity of Islamic societies through adherence to divine guidance.
Spiritual Significance of the Prophet’s Birth and the Historical Imperative
Opening with congratulations on the auspicious occasion, the message characterized the advent of the Prophet Muhammad as a pivotal turning point for human guidance, framing the life and teachings of the Prophet and the Household of the Prophet as an enduring model of morality, justice, jihad, and brotherhood.
Asserting that the Islamic world has navigated historical turbulence to reach a decisive juncture, the text underscored that the prospect of truth prevailing over falsehood is currently closer to realization than at any previous point in history.
