Iran’s Supreme Leader Sends Message to Sheikh Naim Qassem
WANA (Apr 01) – Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, has sent a message to Sheikh Naim Qassem, according to a statement by Hezbollah.
In his message, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed appreciation for Sheikh Qassem’s condolences and sympathy on the martyrdom of the great leader of the Islamic Revolution, and referred to the sincere sentiments of loyalty and affection expressed by Hezbollah’s fighters.
He emphasized that “steadfastness and resilience in the face of the most determined enemies of the Islamic Ummah, namely the United States and the Zionist regime, were among the most prominent characteristics of the martyred Imam.”
He also highlighted the continuation of the resistance path over the years, citing figures such as Qassem Soleimani and other senior commanders as evidence of the authenticity of this course.
The message further described the history of Islamic resistance as one filled with struggle, courage, and sacrifice, noting that its leaders—from Ragheb Harb and Abbas al-Musawi to Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine—have been exemplary models of steadfastness.
In another part of the message, he underscored the critical role of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General at this sensitive juncture, expressing confidence in his wisdom, intelligence, and courage to thwart the plans of the Zionist enemy and restore dignity and prosperity to the people of Lebanon.
He concluded by stressing that the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, grounded in the path of the late Imam and martyred commanders, will continue to support the resistance against its enemies, and he wished success for all the fighters on this path.
