Iran’s Supreme Leader: Zionist Regime Nearly Crushed by Iran’s Blows
WANA (Jun 26) – The Supreme Leader, to the Iranian nation, stated: “The fake Zionist regime was nearly crushed and brought to its knees under the blows of the Islamic Republic.”
In his third video message following Israeli attack, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei addressed the Iranian nation, offering condolences for recent “martyrs”, hailing for victory over Israel and the United States, and rejecting U.S. calls for Iran’s surrender.
Opening with a blessing, Ayatollah Khamenei paid tribute to Iranian commanders and scientists recently killed, calling them “truly and genuinely valuable” to the Islamic Republic. “They are now, God willing, receiving their divine reward,” he said.
“Victory Over the Zionist Regime”
The Supreme Leader then praised Iran’s military triumph over Israel, referring to recent events in which Iranian forces reportedly struck deep into Israeli territory. “The Zionist regime, despite all its noise and claims, was brought to its knees under the blows of the Islamic Republic,” Supreme leader declared. He emphasized that Israel did not anticipate such powerful strikes and called the operation “one of the greatest divine blessings.”
He credited Iran’s armed forces for penetrating Israel’s advanced, multilayered defense systems, adding that many urban and military areas were flattened under Iran’s missiles and advanced weapons. “This is a clear message to the Zionist regime: attacking Iran comes at a heavy price,” he said.
“Defeat of the American Regime”
Ayatollah Khamenei then turned to the United States, which he pointed of its entering to the conflict directly in an attempt to save Israel from collapse.
“The U.S. regime entered into direct war because it felt that if it didn’t, the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed. Yet, it gained nothing from this war. Here too, the Islamic Republic emerged victorious and, in return, dealt a heavy blow to the face of America.”
“They attacked our nuclear facilities,” he said, “which in itself is legally prosecutable in international courts, yet they achieved nothing of significance.”
He dismissed U.S. President Trump’s account of events as “gross exaggeration” aimed at concealing failure. “Everyone who heard those words realized there was another truth behind the scenes,” he said.
Referring to Iran’s retaliatory strike on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which hosts U.S. forces, he claimed it inflicted serious damage. “Those who exaggerated their own narrative tried to downplay ours, but a major event took place,” he insisted. “The fact that Iran can strike key American positions in the region at will is no small matter—and this can happen again if provoked.”
“Unity of the Iranian Nation”
The Supreme Leader then congratulated the Iranian people for their show of unity. “Around 90 million people stood together—shoulder to shoulder, one voice, one goal,” he said. He noted widespread public support for Iran’s armed forces and expressed confidence that this unity would persist.
Rejection of U.S. Demands for Iran’s “Surrender”
In what he described as the core message of his address, Ayatollah Khamenei responded to a recent statement by President Trump, in which the U.S. leader reportedly said, “Iran must surrender.”
“This has nothing to do with nuclear enrichment anymore,” he said. “This is about the surrender of Iran. Such language is absurd coming from the mouth of a U.S. president. Iran—with its ancient history, culture, and national determination—is not a country to surrender.”
He emphasized that while past U.S. administrations had cloaked their intentions under various pretexts—human rights, democracy, women’s rights, nuclear issues—the real American objective has always been Iran’s total capitulation. “This president exposed that truth,” Khamenei said. “Let the Iranian people know: the U.S. seeks nothing less than our submission—and that will never happen.”

“A Proud, Victorious Nation”
Ayatollah Khamenei concluded by affirming Iran’s strength and dignity. “Iran is a great nation. It is vast, ancient, and deeply civilized. Our cultural wealth far exceeds that of America,” he said. “Expecting such a nation to surrender is nonsense—worthy only of ridicule by the wise.”
He prayed for continued divine support and honor for the Iranian people and called for the satisfaction and assistance of the awaited Imam Mahdi.
“Iran is victorious—and will remain so, God willing,” the Supreme Leader concluded.
