WANA (Apr 01) – In a message commemorating Islamic Republic Day and Nature Day, Iran’s Supreme Leader highlighted the strong spirit of resilience and unity demonstrated by the Iranian people during this year’s Nowruz (Iranian new year) celebrations.

The message noted that the nation, after honoring the 1st of April  (Islamic Republic Day), is moving forward with determination toward Nature Day. It emphasized that at a time when hostile forces—particularly the United States and the Israeli regime—have shown disregard for human, ethical, and environmental boundaries, any effort aimed at the development and prosperity of Iran represents a valuable and necessary step.

The Supreme Leader described public participation in planting fruit-bearing trees as one of the most commendable initiatives. Citizens across cities and villages were encouraged to work together, in coordination with relevant authorities, to plant trees from Nature Day through the end of spring—especially during Farvardin—and to ensure their proper care afterward.

The message also referred to recent acts of violence by enemies, including the killing of innocent schoolchildren, and stated that the Iranian people will plant “saplings of hope” across the country in honor of all martyrs, particularly those of the recent imposed conflict. It expressed hope that these saplings will grow into strong, fruitful trees in the years to come.
