Iran’s “Surprises” Include How It Strikes the Enemy
WANA (Mar 16) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said that Iran’s “surprises” are not limited to its powerful weapons, but also include the way it delivers decisive strikes against its adversaries.
According to Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari, the headquarters’ spokesperson, the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) carried out a precise early-morning operation targeting the central ammunition depot at the Al Dhafra Air Base, which he described as belonging to U.S. forces.
Zolfaghari said the strike caused several powerful explosions at the base, prompting an evacuation order. He added that U.S. forces were forced to relocate their fighter jets from Al Dhafra to other bases located farther away.
Details of the 55th Wave of “True Promise 4”
The spokesperson also provided details about the 55th wave of Operation “True Promise 4,” which he said was carried out under the code phrase “Ya Musa ibn Ja’far.”
According to him, the operation targeted locations in the heart of the occupied territories, including aerospace weapons production centers and aerial refueling support facilities. The strikes were reportedly conducted using precision-guided and ultra-heavy hypersonic Fattah, Emad, and Qadr missiles, along with attack drones.
He added that U.S. military facilities in the region—including Al Dhafra Air Base, Juffair Naval Base, and Sheikh Isa Air Base—were also targeted using medium-range solid-fuel precision missiles such as Fateh, Zolfaghar, and Dezful, as well as intelligent attack drones.
Zolfaghari said the operation was successfully carried out.
Two Enemy Drones Intercepted Over Iran
The spokesperson further said that Iran’s air defense units intercepted and destroyed two reconnaissance combat drones belonging to what he described as U.S.–Israeli forces.
According to him, the drones were detected over the skies of Tehran and Jam and were shot down before carrying out any operation by an advanced IRGC air defense system operating within Iran’s integrated national air defense network.
Iranian Army Targets Israeli Defense Industries
Zolfaghari added that the Iranian Army had also launched drone strikes against key Israeli military industries in response to what he called U.S.–Israeli aggression.
He said the attacks targeted important and strategic facilities belonging to Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Israel’s aerospace industries.
Claim of Major Damage to U.S. Military Infrastructure
According to the spokesperson, satellite imagery released in recent days shows that Iranian armed forces have destroyed more than 80 percent of strategic radars and key infrastructure at U.S. military bases in the region.
56th Wave of Operation Targets Israeli and U.S. Sites
Zolfaghari also confirmed the launch of the 56th wave of Operation “True Promise 4,” carried out under the code phrase “Ya Zaynab al-Kubra.”
He said the strikes targeted the Southern Regional Support Command, a strategic missile storage depot belonging to Rafael in northern Israel, and the Al Udeid U.S. military base. The attacks were reportedly carried out using heavy precision missile systems, including Khorramshahr, Emad, and Qadr missiles.
Drone Strikes on Anti-Iran Groups in Erbil
The spokesperson added that IRGC drone units simultaneously carried out attacks against positions of anti-Iran opposition groups in Erbil, describing the strikes as a wave of deadly drone attacks.
He concluded by saying that “the pulse of Iran’s determination cannot be stopped.”
