WANA (Aug 31) – The captain of Iran’s national table tennis team clinched the championship title at the Czech Feeder tournament after defeating India’s Harmeet Desai.

 

In the men’s singles final, Noshad Alamiyan, Iran’s team captain, secured a 3–2 victory over Desai.

 

Alamiyan won the opening game 11–7, but Desai leveled the match by taking the second 11–6. In the third game, while trailing 5–8, Alamiyan staged a remarkable comeback to win 11–8. Desai responded by edging the fourth game 11–9, forcing the match into a decisive fifth.

 

In the final game, Alamiyan took control early and closed it out 11–8, sealing a 3–2 overall triumph. With this singles gold medal, he claimed his second medal at the Czech Feeder for Iran.

 

The tournament concluded with Iran’s representatives bringing home one singles gold and a silver in doubles.
