Iran’s Top Military Commander: Boosting Armed Forces’ Capabilities Is Unstoppable
WANA (Sep 17) – Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, stated that “enhancing the defensive and offensive power of the Armed Forces is Unstoppable,” describing it as essential for safeguarding national security and strengthening deterrence. During his visit to the tactical headquarters of the IRGC Ground Force, he emphasized that Iran’s combat readiness has reached a level that prevents adversaries from making miscalculations.
Mousavi characterized capacity-building in military and defense fields as a continuous strategic priority. He underlined that strengthening the IRGC Ground Force’s offensive and combat capabilities is vital, adding that maximum utilization of the Basij’s vast potential must remain a daily priority to expand operational scope and bolster deterrence.
The Chief of Staff stressed that these measures guarantee Iran’s lasting security and defensive resilience against any form of aggression. Paying tribute to members of the IRGC Ground Force killed in past conflicts, he praised the role of commanders, fighters, and their families in maintaining national unity and strength.
Observers note that such high-level military inspections reflect the cohesion and determination of Iran’s Armed Forces to defend national sovereignty, sending a clear message of readiness and resolve to adversaries.
