Iran’s Top Officials Attend Farewell Ceremony for the Late Supreme Leader
WANA (Jul 03) – The heads of Iran’s three branches of government, along with senior officials and state representatives, attended a ceremony at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla to pay tribute and bid farewell to the late Supreme Leader of Iran.
According to the organizing committee, a series of official ceremonies, including farewell gatherings, funeral processions, prayers, and burial services, has been scheduled over the coming days. Based on the announced timetable, farewell ceremonies will take place on July 4–5 at Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran, followed by a funeral procession in the capital on July 6.
Additional ceremonies are also scheduled to be held in the city of Qom on July 7 and in Mashhad on July 9. According to the published details, the burial ceremony will take place at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad.
Meanwhile, organizers have also announced that farewell and funeral ceremonies for Iran’s late Supreme Leader will be held in the Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala on July 8.
