IRGC Announces 51st Wave of “Operation True Promise 4” Targeting Al-Kharj Base
WANA (Mar 15) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the launch of the 51st wave of “Operation True Promise 4,” targeting a U.S. military facility in the region.
According to a statement released by the IRGC’s public relations office, the operation was carried out under the code “Ya Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (peace be upon him)”. The attack involved a combined launch of solid-fuel and liquid-fuel missiles directed at U.S. forces stationed at Al-Kharj Air Base, which the statement described as a key hub used for operations against Iran.
The IRGC said the base serves as a logistical and equipment center for American fighter jets, including the F-35 Lightning II and F-16 Fighting Falcon. It also reportedly hosts aerial refueling aircraft and serves as a primary base for U.S. early-warning aircraft, including the Boeing E-3 Sentry (AWACS).
According to the statement, the 51st wave of the operation was dedicated to the memory of the fallen IRGC commander Abolghasem Babaeian and his wife, who were described as martyrs.
“Operation True Promise 4” is part of a series of military actions announced by Iranian authorities, which they say are being carried out in successive waves against targets linked to the United States and its allies in the region.
