IRGC Announces 78th Wave of “Operation True Promise 4”
WANA (Mar 24) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the 78th wave of “Operation True Promise 4” was carried out on Tuesday night, targeting sites in Israel and several U.S. military bases in the region with missiles and suicide drones.
In a statement, the IRGC’s public relations office said the latest phase of the operation, described as the “78th rainy wave,” was conducted under the code name “Ya Dalil al-Mutahayyireen” (“O Guide of the Perplexed”).
According to the statement, targets in Eilat, Dimona, northern Tel Aviv, and several U.S. military positions in the region were struck during the operation.
The IRGC said precision-guided Emad and Ghadr multi-warhead missile systems, along with suicide drones, were used in the strikes and that the designated targets were hit accurately.
The statement added that this phase of the operation was dedicated to the people of eastern Iran, specifically the provinces of North Khorasan, Razavi Khorasan, South Khorasan, and Sistan and Baluchestan.
The IRGC also said it is “negotiating with the aggressors” through what it described as “impact-centered operations,” while emphasising that the majority of its combat units, as well as the Basij militia, have not yet entered the battlefield.
It warned that if those forces are deployed, the conflict would intensify further and the battlefield would become increasingly difficult for what it described as “the enemy.”
The statement concluded with a warning that any efforts by the United States or Israel to reverse setbacks or alter the course of the conflict would not go unnoticed, adding that Iran would respond swiftly and forcefully to any level of aggression.
