WANA (Jul 13) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in two separate statements that it had carried out new phases of its retaliatory military operation against U.S. targets across the region, saying it struck a U.S. ground-to-ground missile base in Kuwait, military facilities in Bahrain, and radar installations in Oman.

 

According to the IRGC, in the fourth phase of the operation, its Ground Force targeted a U.S. Army ground-to-ground missile base in Kuwait. The statement said that two HIMARS missile launchers and missile storage depots at the base were set ablaze and completely destroyed.

 

In its fifth statement, the IRGC also said its Navy targeted U.S. military facilities and infrastructure in Juffair, Bahrain. It added that during the fifth phase of the retaliatory operation, long-range FPS air surveillance radar and a maritime surveillance radar in the Sultanate of Oman were struck and destroyed in coordinated missile and drone attacks.

 

The IRGC further said that recent U.S. strikes had targeted an agricultural water pumping station in Mahshahr County, describing the attack as further evidence of what it called Washington’s actions against civilians.

 

The statement concluded by saying that the Strait of Hormuz would reopen to maritime traffic only after the U.S. military ends its intervention in the waterway and respects the sovereignty of coastal states over their territorial waters. It also warned that continued U.S. involvement could have broader consequences for the global oil and gas markets.
