WANA (Jun 10) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in a statement that it had targeted four key locations at a U.S. military air base and command-and-control center in Al-Azraq, Jordan.

 

According to the statement released by the IRGC Public Relations Office, the operation was carried out as part of what it described as a retaliatory response to the continued hostile actions of the United States. The IRGC said that its Aerospace Force used long-range solid-fuel missiles to strike four strategic targets at the Al-Azraq Air Base.

 

The statement claimed that the targets included shelters housing F-35 fighter jets, as well as sections of the U.S. military’s command-and-control facilities. The IRGC further asserted that the designated targets were destroyed during the missile attack.

 

The announcement stated that the operation followed earlier actions reportedly conducted by Iranian forces, including strikes on 21 targets at U.S. air and naval bases across the region and the downing of an MQ-9 drone over Iran’s southern Jam County.

 

In a separate claim, the IRGC said its naval forces had launched drone attacks in the early hours of the morning against the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

 

The statement concluded by warning that Iranian forces remain prepared to deliver a decisive response to any further military action and held the United States responsible for the consequences of any future escalation.
