WANA (Jul 16) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Public Relations Office has released Statement No. 17, claiming that its naval forces destroyed a U.S. satellite communications center, an early warning radar facility at Ali Al Salem Air Base, and a U.S. military pier in Shuaiba, Kuwait, during the ninth wave of Operation Nasr 2.

 

According to the statement, the operation was carried out using a combination of drones and missiles in response to what the IRGC described as U.S. strikes on multiple locations in Iran’s Khuzestan Province, including the vicinity of a children’s cancer hospital and a bottled water factory. The operation was reportedly conducted under the code name “Ya Ruqayyah (PBUH)” and dedicated to the children killed in the recent conflict.

 

In the statement, the IRGC also addressed the people of Kuwait, urging them not to allow U.S. forces to use Kuwaiti territory for military operations in the region. It called on Kuwaitis to prevent what it described as the violation of their country’s dignity through the presence of American forces.

 

The statement concluded by asserting that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is conditional upon what it called an end to U.S. actions in the region.
