IRGC Announces Strikes on U.S. Radar Systems and Naval Assets in Latest Operation
WANA (Apr 03) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that U.S. radar systems and naval equipment in the region and in what it referred to as the “occupied Palestinian territories” were targeted during the 92nd wave of its ongoing military operation.
In a statement released Friday, the IRGC’s public relations office said naval and aerospace forces launched a series of “combined and rapid assaults” as part of the operation, named “True Promise 4,” using ballistic missiles and attack drones.
According to the statement, the first phase of the naval operation targeted a gathering point for U.S. amphibious landing craft (LCU) at Kuwait’s Shuwaikh Port, which was struck with ballistic missiles.
The IRGC also claimed that a long-range, three-dimensional early warning radar system identified as “AR-327,” located at the Jabal ad Dukhan radar site in Bahrain, was hit and destroyed in a drone attack.
In a separate development, the IRGC said its aerospace forces struck Ramat David Airbase, located southeast of Haifa, with two ballistic missiles. The base reportedly hosts Israeli F-16 fighter squadrons.
The statement further claimed that more than 50 locations in Tel Aviv and surrounding areas were targeted using Khorramshahr-4 multi-warhead missiles as part of continued missile barrages.
Additionally, the IRGC asserted that a U.S.-made F-35 fighter jet was shot down over central Iran by its air defense systems, describing it as the second such aircraft downed within 12 hours. The jet was said to belong to a squadron based at RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom.
The IRGC added that “targeted and extensive attacks” are ongoing and that further details will be announced.
