WANA (Apr 12) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that the approach of any military vessel to the Strait of Hormuz—regardless of its stated purpose or justification—will be regarded as a violation of the ceasefire and will be met with a firm and decisive response.

In its Statement No. 59, the IRGC Public Relations Office emphasized that “the approach of military vessels to the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire.”

The full text of the statement reads as follows:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps declare that, contrary to the false claims made by certain enemy officials, the Strait of Hormuz remains open and is under intelligent control and management, with specific regulations in place to ensure the safe passage of non-military vessels.

However, any military vessel that, under any title or pretext, attempts to approach the Strait of Hormuz will be deemed to have violated the ceasefire and will face a strong and forceful response.
