WANA (Jun 13) – The Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that Israel’s recent terrorist attack on Iranian territory will not go unanswered, warning that “the gates of hell will soon be opened upon this child-killing regime.”

 

In a letter addressed to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Major General Mohammad Pakpour — newly appointed as the head of the IRGC — wrote: “I offer my condolences and congratulations to Your Excellency on the martyrdom of a number of senior commanders, members of the armed forces, nuclear scientists, and innocent women and children in the recent terrorist assault by the criminal Zionist regime. I also express my gratitude to the Almighty for the wise trust bestowed upon this humble servant of the homeland by Your Eminence.”

 

The letter continues: “As a servant of the noble Iranian nation, I am envious of the honor, destiny, and blessed fate of these martyrs. As a custodian of the IRGC’s sacred legacy, I pledge — alongside my fellow warriors — to uphold the strength of the IRGC, defend the Islamic Revolution and the great Iranian nation, and take due revenge for the pure blood of the martyrs.”

 

General Pakpour further stated: “The crime committed today by the Zionist terrorist regime — violating the national security and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic — will certainly not go unanswered. As our great Leader has promised, under your wise and decisive leadership and with the unity of the brave comrades in the Army and all branches of the Armed Forces, including the self-sacrificing soldiers of the IRGC, the criminal and illegitimate Zionist regime will face a bitter and painful fate with far-reaching and destructive consequences.”

 

He concluded: “With trust in and reliance upon the Almighty, and in pursuit of the promise of our dear Leader, the blood of our commanders, scientists, and innocent civilians will not be in vain. Very soon, the gates of hell will open upon this child-killing regime. Alhamdulillah — praise be to God, the breaker of tyrants and destroyer of oppressors.”

Earlier this morning, Friday, June 13, several Iranian military commanders, scientists, and civilians were killed in a terrorist attack by the Israeli regime on Tehran and several other cities.

 

In response, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution appointed Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour as the new Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, promoting him to the rank of Major General following the assassination of former IRGC head, Lieutenant General Hossein Salami.

 

In a statement to the Iranian people following the attack, the Leader declared: “The regime must await a harsh punishment. By God’s will, the powerful hand of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic will not let it go unpunished.”
