WANA (Jun 10) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had launched a drone attack against the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain in response to American strikes on several locations in southern Iran earlier today.

According to a statement issued by the IRGC, U.S. forces carried out attacks during the early hours of the morning against targets in Jask, Sirik, and Qeshm, citing what the statement described as “unfounded pretexts.”

The statement said that the attacks caused damage to a telecommunications tower in Sirik and destroyed two water storage tanks in the Bamani district of the county.

In response, the IRGC stated that its naval forces launched a drone operation against the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain at approximately 2:30 a.m. local time.

The statement further claimed that hostilities remain ongoing and that IRGC forces are continuing to respond to what it described as enemy aggression. It also warned that any further military actions by the United States would be met with a stronger and more extensive response.
