WANA (Jul 10) – The commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that seeking retribution for the country’s “martyred leader” will remain an enduring and legitimate demand, adding that those responsible for his assassination would be punished.

 

In a message issued following the funeral ceremonies for the late leader, the IRGC commander thanked the Iranian people, Iraqi participants, and officials involved in organizing the events. He described the large turnout as a demonstration of loyalty, unity, and support for the Islamic Republic and the “Axis of Resistance.”

 

He said U.S. leaders and all opponents of the Islamic Revolution and the Resistance Front “should know that by assassinating this divine leader, they will never be able to extinguish the divine light, weaken the resolve of faithful nations, or bring down the banner of resistance.”

 

The commander added that the “pure blood of the martyred leader” had placed a lasting responsibility on “all freedom-seeking people of the world,” saying that seeking retribution for those killed and punishing the perpetrators, those who ordered the act, and its supporters “will remain a definite, legitimate, and unforgettable demand.”

 

He further stated that this demand “will not be erased from the historical memory of the Islamic Ummah and the Resistance Front until full justice is achieved and an appropriate response is delivered to the perpetrators, particularly the child-killing U.S. military.”

 

The commander said the funeral processions in Iran and Iraq reflected widespread public support and represented an unprecedented historical event. He also thanked Iraqi authorities and the Iraqi people for their participation in the ceremonies held in Najaf and Karbala, describing them as a sign of the enduring ties between the two nations and the unity of the Resistance Front.

 

He concluded by saying that the IRGC, alongside Iran’s armed forces and Resistance fighters, would continue the path of the late leader under the command of Iran’s current commander-in-chief, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, adding that no power would be able to halt what he described as the path of dignity, independence, and resistance.
