WANA (Nov 03) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reached a higher level of combat readiness than during the recent 12-day conflict, according to statements made during a parliamentary security session on Sunday.

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said members of the commission met with Major General Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the IRGC, along with senior officers and intelligence chiefs, to review the force’s latest activities and strategic assessments.

During the session, General Pakpour presented a detailed report on IRGC operations in recent months, particularly during the 12-day confrontation, describing the corps’ actions aimed at deterring “Israeli aggression” and enforcing “strategic punishment” against those he referred to as “Zionist aggressors.”

According to Rezaei, the commander stated that “the IRGC’s current level of preparedness surpasses that of the 12-day war period, with all operational and combat units at peak readiness.”

The meeting also included a briefing from Brigadier General Khademi, head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization, who outlined recent security measures designed to enhance domestic stability and strengthen Iran’s deterrence capabilities.

Parliament members reportedly expressed appreciation for the IRGC’s recent performance and reaffirmed their full support for Iran’s military establishment, pledging to use all legislative tools to bolster the country’s defense capacity.
