WANA (Mar 28) – The Public Relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued Statement No. 49 regarding “Operation True Promise 4,” officially condemning a drone strike targeting the private residence of the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG) in Dohuk.

In the communique, the IRGC characterized the assault as a clear act of terrorism perpetrated by “aggressor enemies.”

The statement drew direct parallels between this incident and recent “cowardly assassinations” of senior Iranian officials and attacks on Iranian civilians, which Tehran attributes to the “terrorist militaries of the United States and the Zionist regime.”

The IRGC asserted that such operations are part of a “malicious effort by warmongering enemies” intended to destabilize the region and undermine growing cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and its neighboring countries.

Furthermore, the IRGC expressed its full readiness to bolster regional security. The statement called for the establishment of a “collective defense shield” among regional actors to counter what it described as the “evil acts” of U.S. and Israeli forces.

Tehran emphasized that strengthening security partnerships is essential to protecting the sovereignty and stability of neighboring nations.

The announcement concludes by reaffirming Iran’s commitment to defending regional peace against external military interference.
