IRGC Denies Responsibility for Reported Strikes in Persian Gulf
WANA (Apr 10) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued an official statement categorically denying any involvement in reported drone and missile strikes against facilities in countries along the southern coast of the Persian Gulf during the ceasefire period.
The statement follows reports from various international news agencies regarding suspicious aerial activity and attacks in the region.
Ceasefire Adherence
The IRGC emphasized that Iranian forces have maintained total restraint since the truce began: “The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have made absolutely no launches toward any country during the ceasefire hours up to this moment.”
Allegations of Sabotage
Military officials suggested that if the reports of these attacks are accurate, they are likely the work of external provocateurs aiming to destabilize the fragile peace.
“If these reports published by the media are true, it is undoubtedly the work of the Zionist enemy or the United States,” the statement read.
Policy of Transparency
The IRGC concluded by reaffirming its policy of taking direct responsibility for its military actions, distancing itself from any unverified operations:
“Should the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran strike any target, they will announce it with full courage in an official statement. Any action not included in the official communiqués of the Islamic Republic of Iran has no connection to us.”
