WANA (Jul 18) – The Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its ground forces have successfully destroyed key American military installations in Kuwait, while issuing a stark warning to regional countries hosting U.S. troops to prepare for proportional counter-strikes.

 

According to the official statement, the operations were carried out under “Wave 18 of Operation Nasr-2,” utilizing the code “Ya Abolfazl al-Abbas.” The targeted strikes inflicted casualties on American personnel and severely damaged critical infrastructure.

 

Precision Strikes Hit Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem Air Base

The IRGC confirmed that its ground forces and drone units launched coordinated attacks against two major U.S. military installations inside Kuwait:

 

Camp Arifjan: Iranian forces targeted the main deployment and staging area at the U.S. Army Forward Support Center, resulting in the deaths of a number of American troops.

 

Ali Al Salem Air Base: A specialized drone strike completely destroyed the facility’s main radar system.

 

Logistical Facilities: The operation also effectively demolished a major weapons maintenance hangar and a drone facility at the sites.

 

The IRGC noted that these actions are part of an ongoing, active retaliation campaign, stating, “The reciprocal responses by our fighters will continue.”

 

The military statement claimed that the United States formally resumed hostilities early last week under the “illusion” that Iran had been weakened, disrupting ongoing negotiations. However, after facing consecutive defeats by Iranian armed forces, the U.S. allegedly altered its strategy.

 

“After several days of direct warfare and receiving crushing responses to their aggressions—proving that Iran’s armed forces are far stronger today than they were at the onset of the conflict on February 28—the enemy changed its approach,” the IRGC stated.

 

The statement accused the U.S. military of fleeing face-to-face combat to conceal its tactical failures, resorting instead to “war crimes and cowardly acts.” The IRGC alleged that American forces have shifted to targeting civilian infrastructure, executing destructive strikes on hospitals, bridges, railways, airports, ports, and telecommunication centers, resulting in civilian casualties.

 

Warning Issued to Regional Host Nations

Citing a lack of international oversight to halt American military actions, the IRGC invoked the Quranic injunction of proportional response (“Whoever commits aggression against you, respond with aggression in the same manner”), asserting that Iran has no choice but to strike back in kind.

 

The IRGC issued a direct warning to neighboring governments that permit the U.S. military to operate from their soil: “The host nations of the aggressor American military, who have placed their territories at the disposal of these criminal invaders to launch attacks against Iran, must prepare themselves to receive proportional responses. They should immediately activate their civil defense units to protect their citizens and move them away from potential targets.”

 

The IRGC concluded by noting that while it reserves the right to strike broader infrastructure in response to U.S. actions, it intentionally limited last night’s operations strictly to military targets to give the United States a final opportunity to halt its campaign against civilian infrastructure.
