WANA (Jan 10) – The Intelligence Organisation of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the arrest of a foreign national allegedly linked to Israel’s intelligence services.

 

In a statement, the IRGC intelligence body said the individual had entered Iran under cover and with a specific mission assigned by Israel’s intelligence service to collect information and assess the situation related to the activities of affiliated operatives.

 

According to the statement, the suspect was arrested while gathering intelligence. During searches of the individual’s belongings and hideout, what the IRGC described as conclusive documents related to espionage were discovered.
