IRGC Intelligence Organization Reacts to Political Turmoil in the United States
WANA (Apr 23) – The Intelligence Organization of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has commented on what it described as political turmoil in the United States over the past 50 days of war, stating that the U.S. president should take note of a 35% drop in his approval rating, the resignation of 20 generals, and apologies from media outlets that previously supported him.
In a statement posted on social media, the IRGC Intelligence Organization wrote that while the U.S. president speaks of division in Iran, developments in the United States during the past 50 days of conflict indicate otherwise:
- His approval rating has fallen by 35%
- Six political and security officials, along with 20 military generals, have resigned
- Dozens of members of Congress and the Senate have sharply criticized his performance
- Six of his staunch media supporters have publicly apologized for backing him
The statement concluded by questioning whether the Central Intelligence Agency intends to steer the U.S. government away from what it described as a “corridor of misinformation.”
