IRGC: Maintenance Hangars and Jet Shelters Housing F-35, F-16, and F-15 Fighters Targeted in Missile Strike
WANA (Sep 09) – The Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a major retaliatory missile strike on a U.S. military installation in Jordan following recent confrontations at sea.
According to the IRGC statement, the “desperate and defeated U.S. terrorist military” carried out attacks against several Iranian merchant ships and oil tankers. In direct response to the aggression against Iranian maritime assets, the IRGC Aerospace Force executed a retaliatory operation targeting the U.S. Al-Azraq base in Jordan with heavy missile strikes.
The statement detailed that a heavy barrage of both solid- and liquid-fueled ballistic missiles successfully hit critical infrastructure, including maintenance hangars, jet preparation facilities, deployment areas, and hardened shelters housing F-35, F-16, and F-15 fighter aircraft, inflicting severe damage on the enemy forces.
Addressing recent maritime friction, the IRGC claimed that U.S. forces acted out of weakness and desperation in confrontations with IRGC naval forces near the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that any hostile actions would continue to meet an immediate and decisive response.
