WANA (Aug 29) – The Navy Command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a statement rejecting recent comments by U.S. officials regarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that Iranian forces maintain total authority over the strategic waterway.

 

In the statement, the IRGC Navy characterized U.S. claims that the Strait of Hormuz remains open as false, alleging that such statements are intended to manipulate global oil prices and conceal strategic failures.

 

“The dominance of the warriors of Islam over this strategic waterway is absolute,” the statement read. “With full power and authority, the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to all vessels attempting to transit without authorization from the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

 

The statement further assured the Iranian public that the restrictions will persist until all hostile actions by the U.S. military against Iran cease and specified obligations are fully met.
