IRGC: Navy Destroys Al-Udeiri Helicopter Base in Kuwait
WANA (Mar 09) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval forces have destroyed the Al-Udeiri helicopter base in Kuwait during an offensive operation.
In a statement released Monday (March 9), the IRGC said its Navy carried out an early-morning offensive against what it described as American terrorist forces, striking the Al-Udeiri helicopter base in Kuwait using various suicide drones and cruise missiles.
According to the statement, the key operation disrupted the enemy’s operational plans, with eyewitnesses and informed sources reporting a chaotic evacuation from the base. The IRGC added that 11 critical targets within the facility were struck by multiple missiles and drones during the attack.
Among the targets destroyed were fuel and gas storage tanks, ramps used by U.S. helicopters, logistical and support facilities, and other core infrastructure of the base, the statement said.
The IRGC also announced that two MQ-9 drones were intercepted and destroyed over Jam and Khormuj counties in Bushehr Province, while another drone was downed over Tehran by the IRGC’s advanced air defense systems operating under the country’s integrated air defense network.
