IRGC Navy Drones Strike Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE
WANA (Mar 07) – The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that the drone unit of its naval forces carried out a large-scale drone attack at dawn today against Al Dhafra Air Base.
According to the statement released by the IRGC’s public relations office, the base is considered one of the largest and most important air facilities used by U.S. forces in the region, serving as a command and control hub for American operations in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. The statement said the intended targets were successfully hit.
The announcement added that the attack struck several key facilities at the base, including the U.S. air warfare command center, satellite communications facilities, early-warning radar systems, and fire-control radars.
